Jim Beardin

Campaign Manager

Having been born, raised, and living in Rochelle all my life, my roots in Ogle county run very deep. I grew up enjoying the Pines, golfing the local county golf courses, spending time at the drag strip and skiing or taking a lazy cruise on the Rock River. I feel close to the people of Ogle County having spent my entire career in retail sales. My wife, Kay, and I live in Rochelle near our children and grandchildren. We attend the First Presbyterian Church, where I currently serve as a Deacon. I am Vice President of the Rochelle Area Chamber of Commerce, as well as Co-Chair of the Business and Industry Committee for the Rochelle Hospital Foundation. Being an avid golfer, I belong to the Rochelle County Club and serve as the Secretary of its board.

The fulfillment of people’s needs has been a lifelong endeavor of mine. Those who know me, know my commitment to doing the right thing is always foremost in my mind. That is why becoming involved with this project was so easy to say “yes” to. There is a need and benefit to having a local Hospice Home to serve our county. Those of us who have been touched by Ogle County Hospice in our lives, or the lives of someone we deeply care about, definitely can feel the wonderful caring and comfort that was received. The time has come for an opportunity to step that caring and service up a level with the building of a Hospice Home. I am proud and honored to be part of this Capital Campaign for such a worthwhile project.
